Who doesn’t love chocolate? Recently, I had the chance to step behind the scenes at Honest Chocolate in Cape Town and try my hand at making some of their signature treats. Spoiler alert: it was as indulgent and rewarding as you’d imagine! Here’s a peek into the experience, along with some tips if you’re keen to book your spot.
The Workshop Experience
From the moment you step into Honest Chocolate, you’re surrounded by the aroma of rich, velvety cacao. The workshop was hands-on, fun, and surprisingly educational.
Our guide walked us through the bean-to-bar process, and before long, we were moulding our own chocolate creations. I learned that Honest Chocolate is all about keeping things simple, ethical, and delicious, which makes every bite even more satisfying.
My Favourite Part
The highlight? For me, it was crafting my very own chocolate truffles. Deciding on flavours felt like a mini art project, and the best part? Tasting them!

- Location: be sure to go to the Honest Chocolate Factory in Woodstock, not the Honest Chocolate Bar in the CBD.
- Wear comfy clothes (things might get a little messy).
